Brandon

Here's Brandon playing with a balloon. We have had this balloon since the end of June. Gunner received it in a goody bag from a birthday party. How it has lasted this long in our house I do not know!!

Brandon also enjoys playing with his airplane. Every time we walk outside he looks to the sky because our house sits in the flight path to the airport, so there are always airplanes flying over.
Brandon is finally enjoying looking at books rather than eating them!
I can tell that Brandon misses Gunner, but he certainly is enjoying the undivided attention for a change!

Two-Wheelin' and Toddlin'

Here's photos of Gunner riding without his training wheels earlier this week. He is LOVING riding his bicycle!

Brandon's in the best play pen of all while Gunner's riding his bike. A couple of his "famous faces"......He likes to say "O" and make fish lips!

Being parents of young children can sometimes make you crazy! lol
Brandon LOVES opening and closing doors now. He's trying Oh, so hard to get the front door open, but he's just a bit too short!

Happenings

Hello, hello, hello. Sorry I've been gone. No new pics for now.

BRANDON:
Started walking on June 8 all by himself. We have been watching him "toddle" around for the past few weeks. He can now bend down and pick up a toy without falling! He can't get up to standing from sitting with out having something to pull up on. He's getting faster and faster. He can reach the front door knob, so we have to keep it locked tight or he'll be out front chasing lizards and squirrels. LOL

I took him to the walk in hour at the pediatrician's on Tuesday. Along with the nasty cold he'd had all week, he'd developed pinkeye and his left ear was beginning an ear infection. He's on antibiotics again. He's also getting his molars.........but, he is sleeping!!! :o)

Today, we went to the pediatric orthopedic doc to reevaluate his feet. Since he started walking, I just wanted to make sure his feet were doing OK after having to wear the casts earlier in the year. Got a very positive report, but we still need to watch to make sure that as he grows the bones do what they should. His growth spurt between 3 & 6 years will tell us a lot.

GUNNER:
Today was the last day of swimming lessons for this round. He loves it and does so well for his age. We will not do anymore lessons until at least September.

He's preparing for his trip to my parents later this month. He will be getting his MMR and chicken pox booster shots later this month. He can not be around me for 14 days, so as soon as he and Jeff are done at the doctor's office, they head to the airport to go to Nashville. They'll drive to my parents' from there. Jeff's only staying a few days because he'll have to get back to work. Gunner will come back with my parents my 3rd treatment week at the end of July and have a short visit with us.

Gunner has one more reading class left this summer. It's been OK. I don't feel that we got our money's worth, but it's still been a fun time for just him and me to do something together.

Monday, Gunner decided he wanted to ride his bike WITHOUT training wheels. I used the video camera, so no pics from the event. He did pretty good. We didn't get to practice yesterday because it rained, and today, he was sooooo tired, he fell asleep at 6 pm. We'll be practicing tomorrow for sure!

Jeff took Gunner to the go kart track over the weekend. Since he's now 5, he could drive a car by himself. They raced each other, but Gunner didn't focus on driving, but trying to run Jeff off the track. So the next round, Jeff watched from the side and let Gunner go by himself. He lapped all but one car and won the race! Jeff said he had a determined look on his face the whole time he was driving. My, my, my we may have a racer! He loved the Speed Racer movie and he loves the CARS movie. Gunner was soooo excited about driving that go kart. Maybe next time Brandon and I will tag along and take some pics.

JEFF:
Working, working, working. Been out of town a couple days this week. Still enjoying his summer break from school. MBA classes start back July 26. Just wish he could shake the nasty cold.

JENNY:
(See my blog for my health update). Got to go to an all day crop on June 21 and got tons of pages done! I'm going again in July and then that will be it til next summer unless it works out before then. I am not comfortable asking someone to babysit my children all day while I'm scrapbooking. Can't afford it anyway - child care for date night is enough.

GOLDIE:
Status: CLEAN!!! She went to PetsMart today for bath and nail trim. Smells soooo good too.
