A quick post!
Hi family and friends!
Just a quick post to let you know we are busy, busy, busy!! Jeff is getting O SO CLOSE to finishing his MBA! :) Three Saturdays left! Hooray! Hooray!
Gunner is practicing flag football and has his first game this Sunday afternoon. We're all excited. He's had 2 practices so far and another before the game. He knows 3 of the boys on his team and one of the coaches. He is enjoying 1st grade, but homework is already an issue although it's only about 5 - 10 minutes a night. He is a good reader, but despises being told he needs to read about 15 minutes a night! He's also signed up for Lads to Leaders at church and activities are beginning this week. He will not compete this year, but it will still be a lot of work and fun!
Brandon started "school" last week and seemed to enjoy it. He goes on Mon & Tues, so this week he had Mon off and he had a bit of a runny nose yesterday, so we kept him at home. He is also in Kindermusik again this fall and he had a blast last Friday at the first class. He has been a bear the past couple nights -- not sleeping well! He's been waking up and not wanting to go back to sleep, but get up and play. Umm, this is sometime between midnite and about 3 am. He got up yesterday before 5 am and would not go back to sleep. Luckily, that is my early day because I have to be downtown for chemo at 7:30. Today, he got up around midnight and didn't go back to sleep until after 2 -- I'm beat. I'm hoping this is a result of his cold and not a new thing...........
I'm just trucking along trying to keep all our schedules in line and meals prepared. Since I've been feeling good, I've been enjoying cooking again. But, as always, I despise cleaning up the mess I make! I wish it could be as easy as the Food Network chefs make it seem! Chemo's going as good as it can. I hope to update "my" blog in the next couple days too so everyone can be "up to date".
We had a great Labor Day Weekend although Jeff had school all day Saturday. We had lunch out on Sunday after church and just hung out together the rest of the day. Monday -- BEACH DAY! We went to Cocoa and had a lot of fun -- the boys were wild and enjoyed the water and sand. Poor Jeff chased Brandon and held him in the ocean the whole time we were there. I just kinda hung out. The heat and activity completely wears me out, and I have to save energy for all the cleaning up when we get home - shaking out all the sand, laundry, dinner, baths. Don't get me wrong - Jeff does a lot of the cleaning up too! Gunner's getting big enough to really help and I can see that we will be enjoying the beach much more as the boys get bigger.

Gunner with his life jacket and kickboard. He really wants a boogie board and he needs a new life jacket! I think this one's getting small. We encourage our boys to wear them in the waves because they can be so rough and the rip currents are really bad on the Atlantic.
