Treatment #2

Goodmorning! Just to update everyone, I had my second chemo on Tuesday and so far all is well. I have felt no nausea again, and I've hardly taken any of the medications this time. I took them all afternoon/evening on Tuesday, only once yesterday and this morning when I woke up. I still feel great and am being told by my mom and husband to slow down more. Those of you who know me well, you know that me slowing down is still quite busy for others!

I am so encouraged from all the prayers, emails, cards and calls I'm receiving. Thank you so very much!! I still have a hard time believing so many people are praying for me, but I have a peace in my mind because I know and feel that I am being lifted up to the Lord. Words can not express the gratitude for my family & friends who are praying and those who do not know me but are praying anyway.

I will leave you with my scripture for today:

Zephaniah 3:16-17 (NIV)
"...'Do not fear; Zion, let not your hands be weak. The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.' "

Still no nausea and still feeling great! I mean, what an answer to prayer. Thank you so much for letting us know how you are, and please continue to do so as you can.

I am Jenny L. sister-in-law. I met you a few times at Cooper's birthday parties. I just wanted you to know we are praying for you and your sweet family and have our Bible class praying for you all too.

Jenny!! It is lovely that you are able to still function in your life so far, and are feeling pretty good, all things considered. I am ssso happy for you about that. A friend in WV just finished her final chemo treatment (I think #12?) and although her first ones didn't hold her back much, the final ones were really hard on her; this might be true for you too, but as you said, you will use all of your time as best you can, and rest here with the rest of us in the palm of the Father's hand. I am much-privileged to share it with you. You are in our prayers.

Love,

I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking of you, often. I even thought of you when I flew into Louisville this week. I had to fly home for a funeral. I wanted to let you know that I'm signing up with our church team to do the local Race for the Cure on April 19. I haven't done it before. I will do it in your honor. Send me your regular mail address. The other day when cleaning out some of Ty's things I found Batman and Superman pj's with capes. They are the short pajamas, perfect for Florida weather. Ty would wear them to preschool. I had to pin the capes so when he was "flying" he wouldn't lose his cape. I thought Gunner would like them.
