Control

As a verb, the word CONTROL is defined as "to exercise restraining or directing influence over: REGULATE" also, "DOMINATE, RULE"

Today I have made a point to say aloud to myself and the cancer in my body that
I am in control. The cancer is NOT in control. It is smaller than my whole body. I am in control of what I eat, what I say, what I think, what I do, NOT the cancer. I do not have room for cancer in my life and it will be gone, God willing. God is in the ultimate control. He has control over life and death, I do not.

I am reading books regarding nutrition during cancer and am incorporating a new diet. The main thing I must do is cut out dairy and refined sugar. Cancer feeds on these. I love sweets and cheese and milk. But, I can do this. It is for my health and I want to be healthy and live a long life.

I had my 3rd treatment yesterday. I have not taken any nausea medicine. I feel great today. Thursdays I usually feel more fatigued. I probably will tomorrow, but it won't stop me. I'll just rest and go on.

This excerpt is from a letter I wrote to my church family a few weeks ago. I just wanted to share it with all of you as well. This Bible story is my strength and I read it almost daily.

"The scripture I am clinging to right now is Mark 5:26-43 when Jesus healed the woman sick with the flow of blood and restored Jairus’ daughter to life. In summary, the woman BELIEVED that if she could just touch Jesus’ garment she would be healed. Know what? She WAS! He said to her (v.34, NIV) “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” A few steps later the men came running to tell Jairus that his daughter had died, and not to bother the Teacher. (v.36, NIV) “As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, ‘Do not be afraid; only believe.” Know what? Jesus told the little girl to rise and she did. They believed and I believe."

Have a blessed day! Do something great! Remember God loves you and so do I!
